A Journey Through Wine and Hospitality
Hello, I’m Mohona Chowdhury, a Brown girl discovering the wine world, wine consultant, educator, and storyteller with a deep-rooted passion for wines and their stories.
Choosing the name “The Winedian Girl” for my online presence wasn’t just a creative decision; it was deeply personal. The name blends my passion for wine with my Indian heritage, a combination that reflects my identity and the journey I’m on.
My professional journey began with The Oberoi Group of Hotels and Resorts in India, where I honed my hospitality expertise. Seeking to expand my knowledge, I pursued a Master’s in Wine and Hospitality Management at KEDGE Business School in Paris and the prestigious École Hôtelière de Lausanne.
As a WSET Level 3 certificate holder with distinction and a French Wine Scholar, I’ve cultivated a nuanced understanding of wines from around the world. My time living in Beaune, Bourgogne, over the past three years has been instrumental in gaining firsthand experience of Burgundy’s rich viticulture and culture.
I created this space to share my insights, from pairing Indian food with wines to discovering the best wine regions across the globe. Beyond my qualifications, I believe wine is a universal language—one that brings people together.
Thank you for visiting my page. I hope to inspire you to explore the incredible world of wine and its many flavors.
Santé!
